Thank you for choosing Landmark Credit Union for financing your new vehicle. The following next steps of the auto loan process are to provide proof of insurance and to decide how you’ll be making payments moving forward. From there you’ll be able to easily manage your loan and take advantage of additional member benefits.

Provide Proof of Car Insurance

You are required to provide us with proper proof of insurance. If you fail to maintain insurance coverage at any time during the life of the loan, Landmark may purchase a policy for its own protection and you may be responsible for payment.

Car Insurance Requirements

Your insurance declarations page must include the following:

  • Landmark Credit Union is listed as Lienholder or Loss Payee.
  • The comprehensive and collision insurance deductible does not exceed $1,000.00 for auto, motorcycle, and powersport loans. For boat loans, the comprehensive and collision insurance deductible does not exceed the greater of $1,000 or 2%  of the boat's value.

Please verify with your insurance provider that the above requirements are met. If your vehicle is in storage for a period of time, you can contact us at (262) 796-4500 for assistance in processing a deferral request for Collision Insurance. All deferral requests are subject to approval. 

Submit Proof of Insurance

Proof of insurance must be provided to Landmark. You or your insurance agent must send the declarations page of your policy or provide insurance information in one of the following ways:

Make Your First Payment

Your monthly auto loan payments can be made in multiple ways. However, no matter what way you choose you’ll need to have your account number on hand. Your account number can be found in your welcome letter or monthly billing statement.

One of the easiest ways to make your loan payment is through Digital Banking. You can pay from a Landmark account or an account at another financial institution. Get started by enrolling in Digital Banking.

  • You have multiple options for paying your vehicle loan payment:
    1. Digital Banking: Access your account through Digital Banking to make a payment.
    2. One-time Guest Payment: Make a one-time guest payment using an external bank account or a a debit card.
    3. Branch Visit: Visit any of our branches to make your payment.
    4. Mail Payment: Mail your payment to: Landmark Credit Union P.O. Box 510910 New Berlin, WI 53151-0910
      • Please write your loan account number in the memo section of your check so we know where the payment needs to be posted. Your loan account number can be found in the vehicle loan welcome letter that was mailed to you.
  • We do not assess a prepayment penalty on car loans.
  • We no longer send coupon books for auto loans. Instead, you'll receive a monthly billing statement. If you need to make a payment before receiving your statement, you have a few options:
    1. Make a payment within Digital Banking.
    2. Make a one-time guest payment using an external bank account or a a debit card.
    3. Visit any of our branches.
    4. Mail your payment to the address provided on your closing documents:

    Remember to include your loan account number on the check memo section. You can find your account number in the vehicle loan welcome letter you received in the mail.
  • Yes, you can! You have the option to establish a recurring transfer from a checking account at another financial institution to your Landmark loan. Here's how you can set it up:
    Digital Banking
    • Log in to your Digital Banking account.
    • Hover over "Pay & Transfer" from the top navigation.
    • Click "Transfers & Loan Pay."
    • Under the "From account" drop-down, select "Add Account" to pay from an external account.
    • Choose your auto loan from the "To Account" drop-down.
    • Choose the amount you want to pay from the "How Much" drop-down. You'll see options such as regular amount, amount due and "other" for a custom amount.
    • Under "When" choose the frequency. You can make a one-time payment or set up recurring payments.
    • Add a memo, if you like.
    • Click the "Review Transfer" button.
    • Make sure everything is accurate, and then click the "Submit Transfer" button.
    Mobile App
    • Log in to the mobile app.
    • Tap the "Transfers" icon on the bottom navigation.
    • Tap the "Make a Transfer" image.
    • Under the "From Account" drop-down, select "Add Account" to pay from an external account.
    • Choose your auto loan from the "To Account" drop-down.
    • Choose the amount you want to pay from the "How Much" drop-down. You'll see options such as regular amount, amount due and "other" for a custom amount.
    • Under "When" choose the frequency. You can make a one-time payment or set up recurring payments.
    • Add a memo, if you like. -Tap the "Review Transfer" button.
    • Make sure everything is accurate, and then tap the "Submit Transfer" button.
    You can also set up recurring monthly payments by visiting a branch and completing the necessary forms. Bring a voided check from the account you would like the payments to be withdrawn from. This method typically takes 3-4 business days to process.

    One-time Online Payment

    Make a One-time Guest Payment Using an External Bank Account
    • Access Landmark Online Loan Payments to make a one-time guest payment using your loan account number and the last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN).
    • From the “Funding Account Details” drop-down, select “New Bank Account.”
    • Enter your account information.
    • Select the payment date.
    • From the “Payment Details” drop-down, choose your payment amount.
    • Select the “Continue” button.
    • Review your payment details.
    • Select the “Confirm” button.
    • Once you see the successful payment confirmation, you can choose between the options “Make Another Payment” or “End My Session.”
    Make a One-time Guest Payment Using a Debit Card
    Please note that you well be charged a $5.95 processing fee if you choose this payment method.
    • Access Landmark Online Loan Payments to make a one-time guest payment using your loan account number and the last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN).
    • From the “Funding Account Details” drop-down, select “New Card Account.”
    • Enter your account information.
    • Select the payment date.
    • From the “Payment Details” drop-down, choose your payment amount.
    • Select the “Continue” button.
    • Review your payment details.
    • Select the “Confirm” button.
