A primary savings account is an NCUA-insured account that allows you to deposit or withdraw money as you choose. A savings account can be opened and maintained at Landmark with a balance of $5.00 and earns dividends when the balance reaches $25.00. The only requirement for opening a certificate is a $5.00 savings account. The $5.00 savings is what establishes your Landmark membership, and you will need to keep this account open throughout the life of any accounts you have at Landmark.

Whether you choose to add additional funds to the savings account is up to you.
